Welcome in Amsterdam

My name is Arn Daniels. I am an experienced guide who loves meeting people from all over the world. I am passionate about showing you my beautiful hometown and would love to share my knowledge about Amsterdam with you.

I studied city planning and urban geography at the University of Amsterdam. As a student I started working as a guide as extra job. I was hooked immediately.

After that I did something completely different. I became a banker in Amsterdam for many years. Now I’m back at my first love: being a tour guide!

My tour guide experiences include: For almost 7 years I worked for Lovers Canal Boat Company in Amsterdam as a host and tour guide, explaining the guest about the history of Amsterdam while sailing through the canals of Amsterdam. Another 9 years I have worked for Yellow Bike (rental) company, as a tour guide leading a group of tourist on bike excursions through the city of Amsterdam.

I am very proud of my guiding history so far. I take my work very seriously. I am knowledgeable, factual, punctual, have a great sense of humour and love to explain about history.
